Today's Datan from the Darogan speaks of a Gentle Awakening, with changing Pelider in the second, third and fourth positions, moving to Comforting Dreams.

George Bush is calling for the death penalty for Sadaam Hussein, as through there hasn't already been enough killing at the hands of both men. Is this the message the United States really wants to send to the world, that the only answer is violence? The United States helped put Hussein into power and infused his regime with money and technology, which he used to kill many tousands of people in Iran and within Iraq. If the United States were to apply the same rules to itself that it applies to other counties, it would have to declare itself part of Bush's "Axis of Evil". But the real message that Bush is sending out to the world is that being a bully is the best way to get things done, and that means that the biggest bully, with the most money, the largest army and the most lethal weapons (i.e. the United States) should feel free to move throughout the world and destroy anything and everything that objects to them and that stands in their way.

I am having difficulty seeing how any of the events occurring on earth today could be associated with a Gentle Awakening, nor can I see how it can lead to Comforting Dreams. Even the news from Addewid appears dire. Qwinn tells me that the Alliance is growing stronger with each Aniad and that a good part of that growth is from the increasing number of monotheists that are arriving from earth, people who are pre-disposed to the message presented by the Alliance. Their coercive and violent tactics have also contributed, to the point where many of the islands on the Biola Sea are controlled by them.

But both Qwinn and my mother tell me know to lose hope. They say that as long as the Trees are able to resist the power of the Alliance while Hian and Mag build and coordinate the Gursev, that they will be able to defeat the Alliance before Inniscren is overtaken.

Praise be,
The Blessed Three
