George is a poet who works for the Minneapolis City Council as the representative from the Second Ward (Seward and Downtown areas of Minneapolis).

George has published three books of poetry:
  1. Recovering Fundamentalist (1985)
  2. Coming Out Roses (1990)
  3. A Self Defined Man (2003)
George and David are both members of the Gay order of the Tylwyth Teg, a national organization of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgendered people committed to the study and practice esoteric spiritual traditions. George's "Tylwyth Teg" name is 'Tatiana'.
