Addewin Weapons

One of the fascinating facets of Addewid is how warfare is accomplished, given that there there are no technologies ( see essay: Technology) available for constructing any kind of "machined", or "manufactored" devices. All weapons used within Addewid have to be made from "found" objects.

Other factors affecting warfare within Addewid are:
  1. The lack of Death as a means to motivate or instill fear into an army's enemy
  2. The Addewin Law of Wholeness, which prevents a body from existing in any detached form.
  3. The absence of any diseases, which eliminates infectious exposure as a means of eliminating, or weakening, an opponent.
The lack of a death in Addewid warfare is the perhaps the most intriguing, since so much of warfare on earth is predicated upon some notion that humans don't want to die, fear death and will do almost anything to avoid dying. After all, killing (or at least the potential for killing) is the primary purpose of most weapons used in earth warfare. If there is no death, then what can a threatening military force do to coerce their victims?

Even though death and disease are absene within Addewid, there are quite a number of things that Addewin humans cherish and will go to great lengths to protect:
  1. Earth memories
  2. Consciousness
  3. Freedom from pain

Praise be,
The Blessed Three
